Sentencing Sheikh Imran Abdulla will not silence

Shidhaathaa Shareef has said.
Speaking at the rally held by the party on Friday, Shidhaathaa claimed that the party would continue the fight against brutality until all political prisoners are freed.
“Imprisoning our leader Imran will not weaken our cause. Imprisoning our Vice President Ali Zahir will not make us stay home”, she added.
Furthermore, Shidhaathaa said that Sheikh Imran’s conviction proves how scared President Yaameen is of well-respected religious scholars in the country, and claimed the 12-year jail sentence handed to Imran was a warning to the rest of the scholars.
In her speech, Shidhaatha also severely criticized President Yaameen for spending huge sums of the taxpayers’ money on “luxury trips” of foreign delegations and expensive Public Relations firms such as Omnia Strategy.
“The Government accuses us of collaborating with foreigners to undermine the sovereignty of the country. But in reality, they are the ones who are selling our lands and giving away our money to foreigners”, she said.
