The opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has stated that former
President Mohamed Nasheed and former Vice President Dr. Mohamed Jameel
Ahmed will address at a rally scheduled for Thursday night.
Speaking on a Raajje TV program on Tuesday night, MDP Chairperson Ali Waheed said that Nasheed and Jameel will address supporters at the rally through video conferencing.
At a press conference by MDP, a senior official of the party confirmed that Nasheed will address supporters on 4th February.
The MDP national council meeting recently decided that the opposition party will jointly work with Jameel against corruption.
Following the decision, Jameel welcomed MDP and vowed to remain steadfast with MDP and leader Nasheed to defend the country.
