Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is currently investigating allegations that Meridian Company—owned by PPM MP Riyaz Rasheed’s family—has been supplying oil to all powerhouses run by state owned Fenaka Corporation.
Although MP Riyaz used to be one of the major shareholders of the company, he had later transferred his shares to two of his children.
Riyaz Rasheed has been unavailable for comment as he is currently abroad.
RaajjeMV understands that Meridian Company has been supplying Gulf brand lubricant oil to 147 powerhouses run by Fenaka Corporation.
The oil is being supplied under the names of three different companies, owned by Riyaz Rasheed’s family.
Riyaz Rasheed is one of the most outspoken critics of the opposition Maldivian Democratic Party.
