Two apartments from M.Muraidhooge, a state
property, were given to President Yaameen’s eldest son for rent, on
recommendation by the Anti-Corruption Commission of Maldives, its
President Hassan Luthfee has said.
Speaking to RaajjeMV, Luthfee said that the Ministry of Finance and Treasury had sought prior permission of the Anti-Corruption of Maldives before handing over the two apartments to President Yaameen’s son.
He further emphasized that the ACC had told the Ministry that the apartment could be given “for any price decided by the State”, and insisted MVR12000 per apartment was not below the market value.

According to the letter leaked by RaajjeMV, two 2-bedroom luxury apartments from M.Muraidhooge have been given to President Yaameen’s eldest son, Zain Yaameen, for MVR12000 each— an amount significantly below the current market value.
In the letter dated 15th November 2015, Finance Minister Jihad had asked the Commissioner General of Taxation Yazeed to accept the rent payments for the past two months, excusing any fines incurred.
So far, RaajjeMV has been unable to get a comment from the President’s Office or Finance Minister Jihad on the issue.
While President Yaameen’s eldest son has been given two apartments from M.Muraidhooge, located on the same road as Hilaaleege, it is believed that the First Couple will soon move to Hilaaleege.

i don see anything wrong with renting a state guest house to president son , only 2 rooms from that house for 12k each. as long as it's not free it's ok.
