AP fires back at Umar for making false statements in its name

Senior officials of Adhaalath Party fires back at Home Minister Umar Naseer after he claimed that the party had confirmed to the government that it is not participating in the opposition's mass protest today.

At 6:19 pm on Friday, the Home Minister tweeted that the AP's leadership had confirmed to the government that AP is not participating in today's protest.

His tweet also hinted that AP's council member Shidhatha Shareef was "representing herself only," at the mass protest.

Umar's claims, Shidhatha, who also spoke at the protest, said that if the party's leader Sheikh Imran Abdulla was a free man, there is no doubt that he will join today's protest.

She made the comment via her official twitter account, and the tweet has been re-tweeted by AP's twitter account, showing support to its member.
