Former President Mohamed Nasheed, who is serving a 13 year prison sentence, has consulted a doctor in ADK Hospital on Thursday.
He was taken to the Civil Court immediately after the consultation for a hearing on the refusal to provide family visits.
Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) said Nasheed was taken to ADK to consult a MRI doctor. An MRI scan was done on doctor’s recommendation.
Nasheed’s lawyers and family has alleged the state authorities of neglect in providing the proper medical care to the former President.
