President Yamin plotted Nasheed's prosecution ahead of 2013 Elections'MP

 

Mahloof made this accusation claiming that the President had urged his successor, Mohamed Waheed, to push the same charges against Nasheed, whom he defeated by a small margin in 2013.

“Yamin didn’t plot to have President Nasheed put in jail this year, he had tried to have Waheed push charges against him out of fear of defeat” Mahloof said at an opposition rally on Tuesday night.
